3 MONTHS OLD

Wow!  Time sure flies when you're busy growing!  Dec.24 was my 3-month birthday but somebody else had already laid claim to that night and took priority over me.  Oh well!  Here's a look back at my younger days...

Month 1:  Leo used have the upperhand in our wrestling matches.

I was barely bigger than our remote control!

Month 2...  Getting bigger (both me and my belly)!

And more impressive, in comparison to the remote control (it being a standard unit of measurement)!

Month 3:

12.5 pounds and a super genius!

And I've outgrown Leo!

Me & Daddy

My daddy's the coolest dude in the world, I love hanging out with him.  We are both the strong, silent type.  Mommy will probably have to say "audible response, please," to me, too.  She says is all the time to Daddy!

Dad and I share a lot of the same hobbies.  See!

The Sleep N' Hold (only for the very experienced)

Cuddle Sleep

The Michelangelo

And here's our best move... The Spread Eagle, which can only be done individually.  I wonder if this will end Mommy and Daddy’s debate on who hogs their bed?

Here's my version:

And here's Daddy's:

Daddy and I are so good at sleeping, we can do it anytime, anywhere!  Even in the middle of conversations or while driving!  Here's to sweet dreams...

My First Christmas

Whoo-hoo!  Christmas is my favorite holiday!  I get to spend time with my family and friends plus practice important skills like conversation and holding eye contact.  Check out my “Gaze of Steel” which I’m practicing on Tai Po Po!

And here I’m posing with Uncle Alan, Auntie Melissa and Auntie Megan.

We spent Christmas Day at Tita Reyna and Tito JM’s place.  I guess camouflage is in fashion because Wookie and I were in the same outfit!

The main event was The Opening of Presents.  If you’re unfamiliar with this sport, it entails a lot of screaming, laughing, and paper ripping.  My Vargas cousins are pros…look at Cousin Bubby’s face!

The next night we visited Tita Marie, Tito James, and Ate Addi.  For once, I was actually awake (here’s proof)!

Thank you everyone for my presents and for making this a Christmas to remember!

Brunch at Aaron's

Sunday, Dec 21. We had Brunch at my homey Aaron's house. Auntie Suzanne and Uncle Steve prepared waffles & strawberries, sausages, and eggs. Onolicious!
As usual, the adults insisted on taking pictures of the "babies" together. Aaron and I thought it would be cool to not cooperate and look away from the camera. haha. Thank you Lau family for having us over!

My Big Sis Addison

I have to give a very special shout out to Ate Addi (Ate, pronounced "Ah-tay"=Big Sis)! She's been my friend ever since I was born. She's given me a few tips on how to keep mommy and daddy up late at night. She also warned me about "the bottle" (Ate is a huge proponent of au natural). Ate also let me borrow a lot of her baby stuff.

Here are a couple of pictures of Ate Addi....Isn't she Hot! Oops, i mean cute! Oops I mean, um, nice! Tito James, don't get angry...I'm just stating the facts. Don't worry, Ate Addi and I have a deal....I'll be her bodyguard when we get older and she will introduce me to all her girlfriends. Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Ate let me borrow her baby swing. weeeeeeeee! When I'm fussy and agitated, there's nothing like a good turn on the swing to calm me down.
Ate also let me borrow her Bumbo. For those of you who don't know, a Bumbo is a baby's equivalent of a la-z-boy chair.
Comes in handy when I'm busy working on the computer updating my blog. (Which is another thing that ate addi introduced me to!)

or when I just want to kick back and relax and listen to some Jack Johnson.

Thanks Ate Addi! Also thank you Tito James and Tita Marie, ...I know Mommy and Daddy have appreciated all the parenting advice as well as the hanging-out-with-adults time. I, myself enjoy eavesdropping on all the funny adult comments that Tita Marie makes.

On Dec 6, Manny Pacquiao obliterated De La Hoya in an eigth round TKO.

Here I am doing my impersonation of Pacquiao.
Who knows? I may grow up to be a world champion boxer. How's my don't-mess-with-me punk stare down?

Thanksgiving with Family

Thanksgiving eve dinner was held at Tita Reyna's and Tito JM's apartment.

Thank you Tita Reyna and Tito JM for hosting.

Here's mommy and cousin bubs. She was fun and silly doing a rocker surfer girl impression. The Vargas cousins. It was nice to hang out with them. They are a crazy energetic bunch and I can't wait till I am old enough to run around with them and cause chaos and havoc :)

Thanksgiving dinner was spent at Ar gu's house. She had a wide selection of food. yummy!
Here I am with my "younger" generation uncles and aunts. Melissa and Megan are filinese/chinopino like me!Here's my cousin Emma. She's so big compared to me and she primarily speaks in chinese. very cool!

Cruisin' Alameda

Saturday, Nov. 29. Daddy had to go to the comcast office in Alameda to return some gadget. When he came back into the car, he said that he was able to sweet talk some lady into giving us free Showtime and Starz....that's cool Dad but um, how about the Disney Channel!

We saw a Hawaiian plate lunch place and of course we had to have lunch there!

No excursion is complete without a little nap.

After lunch we went galavanting along the bay. We were all surprised to see a stretch of beach in Alameda!

I'm excited to learn how to swim. Mommy says I'll be a great swimmer because I have big wide flat feet like Daddy. See!

Immunizations

I had Nov. 20th marked on my calendar. I was excited to go back to the doctor's office seeing as last time I had a blast peeing on daddy and on the walls. Apparently I missed the memo that I was scheduled for my first round of immunizations. Um, OUCH!!

First one was easy. immunization administered orally. piece of cake.

Then I felt a cold wet sensation on my outer thigh,...kind of felt like baby wipes. I heard the Doc say something about "disinfecting" the area. Not sure what that meant, but based on the look of concern on mommy's face, I was getting a bit nervous.
Then the shot. I tried my best to man up, as daddy would say.

But the pain was overwhelming and well as you can see below, I had a chance to really test my vocal chords.
Mommy was there to comfort me. (Daddy was busy "capturing" the moment with the camera)

Day at the Park

Saturday, Nov. 15. Had a wonderful day at Golden Gate Park. We strolled around. People watched. The Isaac family came by too. What a fun day!

Whew, all this strolling is tiring....LOVE taking naps on mommy. Mi mama es muy bonita! Es verdad?
